Top Maragon Mooikloof learners for 2018

The top achievers were Emma Mary Carson, Larissa Hurter, Jessica du Toit and Clarice van Zyl.

All the learners at the Maragon Mooikloof High school passed their matric.

The school obtained a 2.1 average distinction per candidate and a 96 percent bachelor degree pass.

The top achievers were Emma Mary Carson, Larissa Hurter, Jessica du Toit and Clarice van Zyl.

Carson got eight distinctions and had subjects such as accounting, Afrikaans FA, engineering graphics and design, English HL, life orientation, mathematics, physical science and advance programme maths at 83 percent.

“I want to study civil engineering and BSc architecture at the University of Pretoria,” she said.

Hurter also scored distinctions for Afrikaans FAL, dramatic art, English HL, information technology, life orientation, mathematics, physical science and advanced programme maths at 92 percent.

She said she would love to study BEng electronic engineering at the University of Pretoria.

Du Toit who wants to study BCom investment management at the University of Pretoria, obtained distinctions for Afrikaans FAL, business studies, English HL, life orientation, life science, mathematics and physical science at 82 percent.

“I want to study BCom investment management at the University of Pretoria.”

Van Zyl also scooped distinctions for accounting, business studies, English HL, life orientation, life sciences, mathematics and physical science at 94 percent.

“I’m going to study BSc physics at Tuks, majoring in both physics and mathematics. After completing the degree, my plan is to continue with my honours, masters and doctoral qualifications,” she said.
