And there are plenty Christmas markets to look out for in December in Pretoria.

According to Local Fresh Markets, the markets below are not to be missed.

The Deutsche Schule Pretoria‘s Christkindl market, a traditional German Christmas market opens on 1 December between 16:00 and 22:00.

Enjoy the festive lights, Christmas music, traditional German food, stands, Christmas decorations, cookies, gifts and much more.

Admission and parking are free.

Kids’ activities are plentiful and the fully-licensed bar will cater to adult needs.

The Nickel Xmas Market from 24 November to 9 December in Zwavelpoort is a fundraiseer for adults with disabilities.

It offers a family-friendly environment with free entrance and guarded parking.

The Kamers/Makers Market in Irene, Centurion is set to close the Year of Making Good with a blockbuster Pretoria show.

The market is open from 4-9 December at Cornwall Hill College.

Market lovers can look out for more than 170 artisan crafters showcasing the coolest stuff from fashion, food, skincare, ceramics, jewellery, lifestyle, music and more.

Meanwhile, the last Market@thesheds is on 2 December.

The market celebrates art, food, design, fashion and music it will take place at 012Central, 381 Helen Joseph Street from 11:00-18:00.
