Msimanga had drawn the line in the sand yesterday and said he wanted to garner support from all the parties in council as brings forth the report in his bid to suspend the city manager whom he said had failed in his duties and had committed acts of misconduct.

Prior to tabling the report in council earlier today, Msimanga requested that the matter be heard in secret with the media and public gallery excused from the chambers.

Speaking after the vote leader of the Tshwane ANC Kgosi Maepa said it was clear that the relationship between Msimanga and Mosola had collapsed and this had a direct effect on service delivery in the city.

“We request that the minister of Cogta, premier of Gauteng and president to place city under administration because there is financial bleeding happening here in the city.”

“The relationship between the mayor and city manager has completely collapsed and he cannot cleanse himself and pile everything on the city manager, they must be dually and severally responsible.

“The ANC, EFF and PAC voted together and COPE did not vote with the DA they abstained, so there is four political parties that voted against the DA today in council.”

“The mayor is not getting his way anymore, he used to get his way and no held him accountable and the ANC has started holding him accountable,” said Maepa.
