It’s almost time – the popular carols by candlelight concert will be back in Pretoria on 11 December.
The SPAR carols with Jacaranda FM is the highlight of Gauteng’s festive calendar. It features a stellar cast of SA’s top artists and will kick-off in Johannesburg on 8 December at St Stithians College followed by and Pretoria on 11 December at Loftus Versfeld.
Connell Cruise, Craig Lucas, Paxton Fielies, Swing City, Claire Johnston, Rubber Duc, Roan Ash and the Ndlovu Youth Choir will bring in the festive cheer to St Stithians.
In Pretoria Charlize Berg, Karen Zoid, Kurt Darren, Nadine, Jo Black and Nianell will be joined by Swing City and the Ndlovu Youth Choir in bringing the Christmas spirit to Loftus Versfeld.
The Jacaranda FM presenters will also be celebrating in full festive force – broadcasting live from both events.

This annual event, which has become a hit with families from all over Gauteng and neighbouring provinces, is undoubtedly the best way to officially kick off the festive season.
The Spar kiddies’ entertainment area will have the little ones thoroughly entertained with play areas, games, crafts, buskers, movies and more.
Entry is free, but, in spreading the love to where it is needed most, attendees are encouraged to bring a toy which will be delivered to selected charity organisations.
Gates at both events will open at 16:00 and the events will start at 19:00-21:00.
