SCHOOL: Maragon Olympus acrobats show skills and agility

She will also compete in the American dance awards for a place in the finals in the US next year.

Maragon Olympus learner Nicole Stoeder came second in the SA National Acrobatic Championships.

The 12-year-old acrobatic dance, which combines dance, flexibility, contortion, strength, balance, limbering and tumbling.

The championships, coordinated by SA Gymnastic Federation and Acrobatic Federation of SA, comprises 10 levels then elite and advanced elite.

Nicole, training at iMove Dance Academy, started acrobatics four years ago competing at Level 9 earlier this year when she achieved first place at the Northern Gauteng Championships, which qualified her for the national champs.

“Nicole is looking forward to participating in other competitions such as Dans in jou Taal and SA Dance School Championships this year.

She will also compete in the American dance awards for a place in the finals in the US next year.

A number of Maragon learners also participated at the national champs with great success.
