A Tuesday police search around Pretoria failed to yield any success, said Brooklyn police spokesperson Captain Colette Weilbach.

“There is no breakthrough yet but detectives are working around the clock on this.”

Basdeo’s silver Mercedes Benz sedan was found in Soweto at the weekend, and according to Weilbach, there was nothing unusual with the condition of the car.

“None of her personal belongings was found in the vehicle.

“Investigations will continue until she is found.”

Basdeo was wearing black flat shoes, blue jeans and a white top with a beige jersey when she disappeared.

Police are appealing to anyone with information on her whereabouts to bring it to the attention of the Brooklyn police.
