SCHOOL: Southdowns College at Sugar Bay Camp

A rainy day or two didn’t stop these 95 learners from exploring Sugar Bay.

The grade six learners of Southdowns College, along with their four teachers enjoyed a four-day long school tour, from 14 May to 18 May at Sugar Bay.

Sugar Bay is a holiday camp for kids and teens in Zinkwazi Beach, on the KwaZulu-Natal North Coast.

Despite a rainy day or two, it didn’t stop these 95 learners from exploring Sugar Bay and the many activities it has to offer, from land activities such as sumo wrestling, mechanical surfboard, arts and crafts, waterslides, inflatable UFO to beach swim and beach exploring.

In the evenings they were kept busy and entertained with our evening programmes which include our very own Sugar Bay Fear Factor, carnival night and party night.

This was the perfect opportunity for the learners to bond while having fun, one of the highlights for the week was spending time at the beach, exploring ocean rocks, catching a few waves and playing beach games on the warm sand.
