Last year, for instance, he suffered a deep gash near his right eye in an attack while trying to shield a police officer during a crime prevention operation.

Colonel Sarah Mabasa said the station was grateful for the selfless nature shown by Mans.

“We have a good relationship with him,” said Mabasa. “He always goes the extra mile in helping the station during our crime prevention operations.”

“He has shown such bravery and dedication that we saw it fit to give him this award.”

Mabasa also thanked CSI Security for always availing themselves when needed and serving the community side-by-side with the police.
