A robbery at a jewellery store at the Grove mall in the east of Pretoria led to a shootout with security staff.
However, despite being allegedly wounded, the robber managed to flee the crime scene with some stolen goods.

Some of the stolen jewellery was however recovered outside the store, said CSI Security operations manager Nico Mans.
The robber got away in a red car in Lynnwood road according to an eyewitness.
The shopping centre was not available for comment before going to print.
