NEWSFLASH: Metro cops arrested in the east – report

TMPD are yet to confirm the arrests.

South African police have reportedly arrested a number of their counterparts from the Tshwane metro.

Confirmation has been hard to come by about the arrests said to have happened on Friday in the east of Pretoria.

According to reports, the officers were arrested at a petrol station and detained at the Boschkop police station.
Provincial police spokesperson Captain Masondo confirmed the arrests but could not provide further details.
Tshwane metro police spokesperson Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba said an investigation was ongoing.
