Innovations festival rocks Mams

The community was out and about to witness this beautiful and vibrant festival.

The Social Innovations Festival made its way to the Mamelodi Community Centre on Sunday afternoon.

The festival was facilitated by the Red Bull Amaphiko Academy, an initiative launched by Red Bull company in 2014 to “give wings” to social entrepreneurs making a positive difference in their communities.

Organiser Jessica Lobi said the community got a chance to view the newly revamped Mamelodi Community Centre.

The community came out to witness this beautiful and vibrant festival in Tsweu Street, she said.

“The academy is an extension of Red Bull’s long-held mission to develop talented people, with a particular focus on social innovation initiatives.”

She said 16 of SA’s brightest social entrepreneurs working on high potential projects came together for a 10-day programme of mentorship, inspiration and practical skills training.
