The award winning Pretoria group announced earlier this year that it would make new additions to the group.

And in a statement about the concert, the founders said: “We went on a talent search and from that a few were selected to join the team. They will join the performance this weekend. Gospel music lovers and fans will sure enjoy the performance.”

The talent search attracted thousands of hopefuls to the auditions held at different venues across the country.

The choir will sing some of the songs from its latest album Revival, which should warm the hearts of the fans attending this two-day Easter weekend fest.

“We [are] planning on touring the country while promoting the album with US gospel sensation James Fortune,” said co-founder Boitumelo Langa.

“There’s a great hunger for God and the ensemble seeks to minister to that need in spirit and in truth.”

Langa said the choir would also celebrate its birthday; it was founded in 2010.

“Ours is one of humble beginnings that everyone chasing dreams in the face of uncertainty and lack of resources can relate to. In this year of ‘completion’ we celebrate the spirit of persistence and perseverance and under the theme #ItIsPossible, proclaim that all things are possible through Christ who strengthens us.”

The choir recently performed at the state of the city address with the Tshwane metro police band.

Some of the choir’s original members such as the talented Nomvula Nhlapho will lead some of the songs.

She will sing some of the famous songs including the beautiful Yena Yedwa, while Tshidi Chauke will bless the crowd with her Praise Medley.

Soshanguve-based singer and songwriter Godfrey Mahlangu will also entertain the crowd.
