UPDATE: Twins shot in own butchery

They were killed inside their own butchery.

Twin brothers were shot dead in their butchery in central Pretoria on Monday morning.

The owners of the Bou Bul Meat and Fish Market in Paul Kruger Street José and Joah de Abreu were killed during an armed robbery.

“Our preliminary investigations reveal that five suspects entered the butchery pretending to buy meat,” police spokesperson Captain Augustinah Selepe said.

“They pulled firearms and killed the two brothers, who were also owners.”

Selepe said a brown box with an undisclosed amount of money was taken by the robbers.

“CCTV video footage shows that the suspects were using two vehicles, a silver grey Mercedes Benz and a white Mercedes Benz.”

“We urge members of the public with information on the matter to call 10111. Information could also be given to the police anonymously by phoning 08600 10111 or by sending an SMS to 32211,” Selepe said.
