Fundraiser at local café
Special performance by local bands, Kilo Hills, Taking Autumn and Skinnee Sunrise was enjoyed by guests.
They say that a dog is a man’s best friend. To put this statement to the test, Railways Café in Irene, Centurion held a fundraiser for the Pretoria Dog Rescue organisation.
The fundraiser started at 18:00 on Saturday.
Music by local bands started at 20:00.

The café charged an entrance fee of R30, which went towards the organisation.
Railways Cafe officially opened on the 7 February 2013 but was already established in 2011.
“Getting the community involved is the main drive for Railways Cafe and bringing different types of people to one destination puts one foot in the door for endless opportunity with regards to community development,” owner of the café, TJ Bryant said.

Pretoria Dog Rescue is a registered non-profit organisation founded by resident, Celia van Zyl to assist with the staggering number of stray, neglected, abused, homeless and suffering dogs.
They are based in Pretoria and currently rent privately owned kennels for their four legged friends.
Their kennel fees amount up to R8 000 per month.
Their dream is to have enough kennels for all the homeless and abused dogs that need help.
