This year, Jacaranda FM and Spar are excited to host yet another magical Carols by Candlelight at Loftus Versfeld on 1 December.

Kick off the festive season on a high note with top South African artists such as Lloyd Cele, Kurt Darren, Elvis Blue, Charlize Berg and Swing City who will join voices with the Soweto Gospel Choir.

Though entry is free, attendees are encouraged to bring a toy (not wrapped) which will be delivered to three selected charity organisations namely Child Welfare Tshwane, Heartbeat and Hanna Charities.

Jacaranda FM’s general manager, Kevin Fine said: “It’s a privilege to not only share this special time with our listeners, but also to spread the festive cheer to those who are less fortunate. In 2015 we managed to collect 289 boxes of toys and over R60 000 in cash for children in need. In 2016 we hope to collect even more.”

SPAR, a co-sponsor of the event will ensure that the entertainment area for children ensures lots of fun with face paints, balloons and more.

The proceeds of candles and song books available to purchase during the event will be going to the Jacaranda FM Good Morning Angels initiative.

Gates open at 16:00 and the show starts at 19:00 at Loftus Versfeld, Pretoria.
