Atteridgeville pupils get a school bus

Parents happy that their transport problems for their children attending school in Atteridgeville are over.

Parents of children attending school in Atteridgeville can breathe a sigh of relief because the Tshwane metro has heeded their calls for a school bus.

Some children recently relocated to Lady Selbourne in the west of Pretoria with their families and have not been attending school regularly for the past few months. Some was not attending school at all.

This was because many parents have not been able to afford the transport fare.

Parents learnt this week that the netro had agreed to provide the children with a school bus.

“The children have finally got a bus that will be transporting them to school. For months this has been a struggle and we are happy something was done,” said DA community leader, Pastor James Ndlovu.

In the past two children were involved in accidents while crossing the highway to get to WF Nkomo Street to catch a taxi. One of them died.

“The children no longer have to wake up early and walk far to get to school,” said Ndlovu.
