Race for friendship held in Hatfield

Hundreds of runners converged to the Hatfield Square on Saturday morning for the "Race for Friendship".

A race to raise money for charity was held in Hatfield on Saturday.

Dubbed “Race for Friendship” the event attracted hundreds of runners from across Pretoria.

The race was also supported by the Tshwane metro, City Property and other sponsors.

Proceeds of the race will go towards charities such as the Jacaranda Children’s Home, Sungardens Hospice, Tshwane SPCA and WetNose.

The runners participated in various races of either 10 km or 21.1 km. There was also a 5km Run/Walk/Dog walk.

Runners were asked to pay between R30 and R60 for registration to take part.

This was a great opportunity for companies to network and market themselves.
