Wine tasting for rhino support

Wine lovers visited Woodlands Boulevard where over 70 winemakers showcased 350 different wines.

Wine lovers flocked to Woodlands Boulevard wine fair on 12 and 13 June where over 70 winemakers showcased 350 different wines.

Visitors could sample about 1 500 bottles opened for tasting. Tickets for tasting were sold at R30 per person and wine lovers could buy wine to stock up their collections or find something for dad this Father’s Day.

Up for grabs was also a competition to win a trip to Franschhoek, courtesy of La Couronne Wines.

The event was held in collaboration with Food Lover’s market Woodlands and Friends of Rietvlei, a non-profit organisation that manages the 4 000 hectare Rietvlei nature reserve in the east of Pretoria and home to 16 rhino.

Proceeds from the event were earmarked for the Friends of Rietvlei fund, protecting and supporting the rhino.
