NATIONAL NEWS: Identity of woman killed by lion made public

The young woman that was attacked and killed by a lioness in Johannesburg earlier this week, has been identified.

The female US tourist that was mauled to death by a lioness at The Lion Park in Johannesburg earlier this week, has been identified as 29-year-old Katherine Chappell.

Chappell is a film editor who worked on an Emmy winning episode of Game of Thrones and Captain America, among a host of Hollywood films.

She was also a wildlife conservationist, visiting South Africa at the time to raise money for a charitable organisation that protects animals from poachers.
