Juanita Erasmus launched her first book
Many gathered in Rooihuiskraal for Juanita Erasmus' first book launch.
Writers and publishers came in their number to the book launch of Juanita Erasmus.
The name of the book is called In die donker skadu’s van Hillbrow. The book launch was held at Rooihuiskraal on Saturday.
According to Juanita Erasmus this is her first book and she wanted to make it different from other books.
In die donker skadu’s van Hillbrow is a fiction drama book, about a seventeen-year-old girl named Lientjie. Like many other people, she lives in Hillbrow under extreme poverty and dire conditions.
But with the absent mother and a father who has depression, Lientjie has a lot more to overcome in life than just the normal poverty and living conditions.
She learns early in her life that life is not always fair to everybody, and that some people need to fight harder for what they want in life than others. And that is what she does, she fights for a better life.
In her journey she falls a lot but she keeps on getting up just stronger and more determined than previously. But how many more time will she be able to get up and move on with life? And is happy endings meant for everyone?
