Valentine’s love

Couples enjoy Valentine’s Day in style across the city.

Pretorians celebrated the month of love in style. Across the city, couples spent the most romantic day of the year in style. Wherever you went, love was in the air. Red balloons and hearts lined storefronts and parks.

At Morgenzon Estate in Doornpoort, Luna Films, the Pretoria-based pop-up cinema, hosted a special screening of the classic film Notting Hill.

The beautiful Morgenzon setting was built in a classic Cape Dutch style and added a touch of class and sophistication to a casual evening. Couples relaxed on a large blanket with pillows and had snacks, champagne and popcorn as they watched the movie with the sun setting behind the screen. It was a relaxed and intimate evening with hundreds of red balloons lining the trees. Chinese lanterns lit the sky as couples enjoyed a picturesque evening.

Elsewhere, at Monte de Dios, a Spanish Equestrian Villa in Mooikloof, couples spent the night in style and luxury. They had four options. A picnic basket and screening of all-time classic The Notebook. This came with fluffy blankets to lie on while enjoying the movie. Other choices were a secluded candlelit four-course dinner and a six-course dinner with live entertainment.

The cream of the pickings was an overnight stay with spa treatment and a six-course dinner. Monte de Dios provided a perfect setting for a romantic Valentine’s Day.
