Fun walk with Friends of Rietvlei

Friends of Rietvlei recently held a fun walk at the Rietvlei Game Reserve.

Friends of Rietvlei held a 7km guided fun walk at the Rietvlei Game Reserve on Sunday morning.

Early birds enjoyed this guided tour of the reserve at 07:30 Sunday morning, with the possibility of seeing a variety of game during the walk.

According to Tinus Koch, deputy president of Friends of Rietvlei, not only are there rhinos and buffalo in the park, but cheetah as well.

“The cheetah hold no threat to our guests today, since they will always run away, rather than attack humans,” Koch said.

“Our guests are divided into four groups, each with their own guide, who knows this reserve like the back of their hand. So anyone with questions are welcome to ask our tour guides about the reserve.”

Koch also said the reserve currently has two baby rhinos, less than a year old, as well.

Friends of Rietvlei will hold another fun walk in March and all the information regarding this fun walk will be available here.
