Making a day special

Irene middle school grade 1 students spoilt with gifts.

Irene Village Mall, in conjunction with the mall’s Spur, PicknPay and McDonald’s visited Irene middle school to spread some cheer to new grade 1 students at the start of the new school year.

Teams from the mall visited the school on Friday morning, handing out new bags, pencil cases, toys and burgers, while Ronald McDonald entertained the children.

The children had a good time, enjoying Ronald McDonald’s antics and magic tricks, in awe as he made flowers change colour, and demonstrate a coulering book colour the pictures by itself.

After the show, the children were all treated to a Spur burger, brand new lunch boxes, pencil cases and toys, setting them up for the start of their academic careers.
