With Christmas around the corner, Rekord visited the Royal Whiz Kidz Academy in Sunnyside on Monday to gauge the children’s enthusiasm for Father Christmas.

Joel Lody (5):
“I know Father Christmas because he gave my friends and me presents. Father Christmas comes when it is wake-up time. He gave me a beautiful car.”
Zijar Ngoveni (4):
“Father Christmas came to our school with a police car. He was in red attire.”
Nompumelelo Ngwenya (6): “Father Christmas came to our schools, picked us up, asked us to smile and gave us presents. My present was the Barbie doll.”
Godfrey Akeju (6): “I know Father Christmas. He visits houses on Christmas day and hands over presents. His job is to give presents. After Christmas he goes away, to Poland. Father Christmas gave me a PSP present.”
Konke Ngabo (6): “Father Christmas is Santa Claus. He comes on Christmas day to hand out presents. Father Christmas gave me toy handcuffs for a present.”
Fatima Chauke (6):
“I know Father Christmas because I saw him on the TV. He comes at the night to put presents for the children under the tree. When the Christmas party is finished he makes other presents.”
