Harley-Davidson show their support for cancer awareness

Harley-Davidson Pretoria recently took part in a national initiative for cancer awareness.

The national initiative, Snores for a Cause Motorcade, which aims to raise awareness and money for men’s health issues and cancer, was held at Harley-Davidson, Pretoria, on Saturday.

Between 250 and 300 motorcycle riders participated in this initiative where money was raised for the PinkDrive, More Balls Than Most – a cause dedicated to promote awareness of the importance of early detection of prostate and testicular cancer.

Though the event was hosted by Harley-Davidson, other motorcycles were also welcomed to the cause and joined the charitable ride that started at Harley-Davidson Pretoria’s showroom at Menlyn Shopping Centre and ended in Lynnwood.

According to the Caner Association of South Africa (Cansa), prostate cancer is the most common cancer among South African men.

“We are grateful for the support of Harley-Davidson Africa who have committed to a donation of R50 000 for the fight against cancer in men. This donation will be used for much-needed education. With the increased awareness and the more money raised, we can tackle the testicular and prostate cancer issue head-on,” said Trisch Rosema, from More Balls Than Most.
