Gays show pride

Pretoria’s gay community converged at the Centurion Rugby Club on Saturday to celebrate the second annual Pretoria Pride event. More than 7 500 people attended the event. 
This year’s spectacle proved to be popular as the attendance grew by more than 100% compared to around 3 000 people who attended last year.

It started with a bright and colourful parade around Centurion .

At the event people from all over the country came together and enjoyed each other’s company, irrespective of gender, class or race, with this year’s theme: In the service of love.

The gay community invited the residents to attend next year’s event to find out more about them.
