Aerobatic displays entertains guests at the air show.

The South African Africa Aerospace and Defense (AAD) airshow 2014 took place at the Air Force Base, Waterkloof on Satuday and Sunday.

People from across Gauteng and the surrounding areas flocked towards the sound of South African Air Force jets and other aircraft, all performing various world-class air demonstrations and aerobatic displays throughout the day on Saturday.

The air was filled with dust as the wind blew during the early morning, but with clear skies later, the day promised an exciting show.

The show also featured static displays and vehicle mobility demonstrations.

Some of the biggest names in the aviation and defence industry showcased some of the latest and modern aircraft.

The children were not neglected and the show included a Youth Development Programme with fun interactive activities.
