Mr. and Miss Jacaranda show

The crowning ceremony of the Mr. and Miss Jacaranda Show took place this weekend.

The crowning ceremony of the Mr. and Miss Jacaranda Show took place on Saturday at the Victory Life church in Annlin.

The event was organised by Lourine Wannenburg. Wannenburg is the owner of a renowned model and finishing school.

“Life is a journey and along the way we get to do extraordinary things, meet extraordinary people and sometimes our dreams come true. It is important that we realise and teach our children that dreams only come true in real life if and when we work hard.”

“The lack of determination in our youth today is shocking. As parents, educators, leaders and role models, we have to take it upon ourselves to rekindle the fire of determination in young people.”

“Giving up is never an option. As you all know by now the Mr. and Miss Jacaranda show is not a pageant, it’s a journey. A journey of self-discovery, personal growth and learning how to achieve.“

Olivia Odendaal was crowned as Miss Jacaranda and Louis van der Merwe won the Mr. Jacaranda category. It was a very successful event, despite the cold weather. The Master of Ceremonies, Dewald Louw, kept the audience’s attention and sang some of his well-known songs.
