Comedians help raise money

Female comedians entertained cancer survivors on the Ladies Night charity event.

Five comedians, including SA’s most popular female comedian, Nina Hastie, entertained cancer survivors at the Ladies Night charity event in Centurion on Friday night.

The purpose was to raise money for cancer survivors. Cancervive is a non-profit organization. Event organiser and cancer survivor from Cancervive, Maria Muller said:

“The event focused on the early warning signs of cancer.”

The theme of the Ladies night event was Celebrating Life.

“Unfortunately, cancer is a horrible disease which doesn’t discriminate between age, religion, sex, or skin colour and most of us has been touched with the effects of cancer in some way or another,” said Muller.

The money raised will go towards the organisation.

The comedians who entertained the guests were Zakkiya, Luana Louw, Karmen Naidoo and cancer survivor Graig Caldwell.
