Bodybuilding competition excites residents

About a 100 people participated in the national fitness event, the International Federation of Body Builders (IFBB) Him and Her, on Saturday at Victory Life Christian Church in Pretoria North.

Talking to Ryan Henrico, a Cipla Nutrition ambassador, who participated in the category Senior Men up to 90kg. Henrico won the IFBB SA National Championships in 2012 and according to him, following a strict eating programme really helps.

“I follow a diet which consists of egg whites, green vegetables and lean meat. When I’m training and on the run and can’t get access to a meal, I have three scoops of Cipla Nutrition hundred percent whey protein with a spoonful of peanut butter.”

He further said this kind of event is held every year and it is growing. He encouraged people to participate either as participants or spectators.

He further gave some tips about the importance of preparing well when participating in such events. “Diet is very important and training with experienced personal trainers is imperative.”
