The 67 minutes of Mandela Day bloomed into the same amount of meals, which again blossomed into smiles at the Irene Home for the Mentally Disabled.
The Home houses mentally disabled ladies.
35 of these ladies are adult orphans who either have no family or their families are unable to care for them. Ocean Basket Irene Village Mall, honoured Madiba for the 67 years he sacrificed for South Africa by presenting 67 meals to the residents of the Home.
The ladies welcomed Donovan Lentz Manager of Ocean Basket Irene Vilage Mall with open arms when he visited them and delivered their meals to them. The ladies enjoyed their meals with the warm hearted feeling of being cared for on Madiba Day.
