Free screening of Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom

In celebration of former president Nelson Mandela’s birthday, the film Long Walk to Freedom will be screened for free.

In celebration of former president Nelson Mandela’s birthday, the film Long Walk to Freedom will be screened for free at 31 selected Ster Kinekor cinemas. In Pretoria, this will happen in Brooklyn, Sterland and Wonderpark.

Videovision Entertainment, The Nelson Mandela Foundation and Ster Kinekor have teamed up to celebrate the life lessons and all that he stood for. The film which celebrates Nelson Mandela’s extraordinary life journey from his childhood in a rural village through to his election as President of South Africa, is an inspirational film which will motivate people to make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate.The free screening is part of inspiring the public to live up to the motto of Mandela Day – “Take Action. Inspire Change. Make every day a Mandela Day”.

The public is encouraged to arrive early as seating is limited, members of the public who would like to see the film are encouraged to collect their free tickets (maximum of two tickets per person) at the selected cinemas on Friday, 18 July, from 09:00.Tickets will be issued on a first-come-first-served basis.
