VIDEO: Incredible footage of Earth and space
Beautiful video of Earth and space captured from the view of a jettisoned rocket fairing.
Groundbreaking American aerospace manufacturer SpaceX recently strapped a GoPro camera to the inside of a fairing on its Falcon 9 rocket, capturing breathtaking footage as it tumbled back down to Earth from space.
The accompanying soundtrack, Blue Danube by Johann Strauss II, makes for an awe-inspiring video of spectacular views of our beautiful planet.
SpaceX was founded by South African-born billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk. It became the first privately funded company to put a liquid-propellant rocket into orbit with its Falcon 1 rocket in 2008.
