GALLERY: Successful ‘Bunny Hare-Itage’ exhibition held in east

The majority of the artworks are small and will fit easily on any wall or mantlepiece.

The Art Box Gallery held the “Bunny Hare-Itage” exhibition on Saturday.

The event was held at Monument Park and started at 18:00.

Co-ordinator of the exhibition Etienne van Zyl said the fun and joyful exhibition “took a look at our furry friends, bunnies and hares, through the creative eyes of 28 artists”.

“The 92 art pieces were made in many different mediums, such as acrylic paint, watercolour, oil, charcoal, multimedia, scraperboard and printing. There are also several small sculptures.”

Art lovers came in their numbers to attend the exhibition.

The participating artists include names like Guy du Toit, Liekie Fouché, Sharon Till, Loeritha Saayman, Will Roux, Mia van Wyk, Karen Smith, Bronwen Schalkwyk, Tanya Coetzee, Kim Gladwin, Daniël Eugene Botha, Izanne Wiid and many others.

“The majority of the artworks are small and will fit easily on any wall or mantlepiece,” said Van Wyk.

This exhibition is on until 29 January.

The next exhibition opens on 2 February with a solo project titled “Eve” by Nonnie Roodt from Port Elizabeth, an artist described as “top class with great skills”.

ArtBox Gallery & Framing is open daily from 09:00 until 17:00 and on Saturdays from 09:00 until 13:00.
