The food festival had about 20 food stands, a beer garden, a kiddies’ zone and entertainment galore.

Tshwane Food Fest organiser Nqobile Mahlangu said their aim was to raise the bar every year.

Mahlangu said all they wanted was for people to spend a day out in the sun with their families and friends over an amazing meal, with some drinks and in an ambience of entertainment.

One festivalgoer, Kgomotso Makena said it was her first time attending the food festival and she could not wait for the next one.

“I had a great time, I am glad that the kiddies were also catered for,” she said.
