The national businesswoman of the year competition has been running since 1999.
The South African council for businesswomen has continued to show its commitment to seeing women holding their own and succeeding in business.
The council held its annual awards ceremony at Leriba Lodge in Centurion on Saturday night.
“As part of the council’s commitment to see women succeed, the role of uplifting and recognising women for their outstanding accomplishments in business has been fulfilled by our hosting an annual businesswoman of the year competition,” the SACBW said.

The winners were announced after a judging process with criteria including business plans, vision for the future, target market and distribution/marketing plan, legislative compliance, financial soundness and social responsibility.
The categories included the micro-business category, small business, professional category, corporate category and NPO.
The national businesswoman of the year competition has been running since 1999.
“The competition is open to all South African women in business and we encourage women to stand up and be proud of their triumphs and footprint left for others to follow,” the council said.
