PHSG celebrates Spring

The funds raiser is for the benefit of the girls and their parents.

Fun was the order of the day at the Pretoria High School for Girls Spring Fair on Saturday.

Learners, parents, teachers and residents joined in the fun to celebrate the school’s 99th Spring Fair.

“We look forward to the fair every year as it is the biggest fundraiser for the school and we are excited for the 100th edition next year,” said school spokesperson Kerry du Toit.

The day was filled with lots of fun and attendees were spoilt for choice with a variety of activities including battles of the chefs and DJs, an auction, gumboot dance, pipe and marimba bands with Pretoria Boys High School learners also participating in the challenges.

There jumble sale, a book sale as well as a variety of food stalls.

Du Toit said funds raised were used for the benefit of the girls in coordination with the parents’ association.

“The funds are used whenever there is a request for a subsidy and it is also a way to make things easy on the parent’s financial burden,” she said.
