SCHOOL: Crawford Preparatory competed in the 10th Annual Camp Discovery Soccer Festival

The tournament was dedicated to Mr. Ian McLeod.

Crawford Preparatory competed in the 10th Annual Camp Discovery Soccer Festival at Camp Discovery at the weekend.

The tournament was dedicated to Mr. Ian McLeod, a giant of football refereeing in South Africa.

The one-time Crawford Preparatory headmaster suddenly passed away in 2017.

To celebrate his life, Crawford Open A played three games of McLeod’s favourite sport on the Friday, four on Saturday and two on Sunday, including the finals that the college won on penalties.

This is the 2nd year in a row Crawford has won the Open Section of the tournament.

It was awesome that Crawford won the Ian McLeod trophy.

The tournament, in which 56 teams from u/10 to Open (/13) participated, was run by Mr. Mark Webster (St. Paulus) Mr. Travis Basson (St. Paulus) and Mr. Jonathan Buck (Tygervally).
