GALLERY: Snow in some parts of SA

A glittery, icy blanket of snow will be covering some parts of SA over the weekend. Snow-chasers can travel to the Eastern Cape, KZN, Western Cape and some parts of Free State as the cold front is expected to linger around until Sunday.

It seems as if winter is not over yet with temperatures decreasing significantly on Thursday.

The SA Weather said on Thursday that temperatures in Pretoria were expected to rise again slightly at the weekend, despite snow hitting some parts of the country.

“Unfortunately the snow will not hit Gauteng. Temperatures for Pretoria will be chilly in the early mornings as we go into the weekend. A maximum of 19°C is expected for both Friday and Saturday,” Forecaster Victoria Nurse said.

Those who want to experience the snow can travel to Eastern Cape, KZN, Western Cape and some parts of Free State as the cold front is expected to linger around until Sunday.
