Millions raised for charity

Hundreds of good Samaritans joined forces to raise millions for charity wanting to make a difference in the lives of unexpected people.

A whopping R2-million was raised during the Caring Daisies annual charity auction at Monte de Dios in the east of Pretoria last week.

The annual charity auction attracted hundreds of good Samaritans with open hearts and a willingness to create change in their community.

Event organiser Anria van Heerden said the event not only attracted locals but many from outside of Pretoria.

“Over 400 guests attended the ‘Vintage Circus’ themed function that included some of SA’s most famous artists and sportsmen and women.”

The charity organisation is a well-known non-profit organisation based in Pretoria. Their aim, as ordinary mothers, is to make a difference where formal charity organisations are not able to reach.

“We believe that we can make the dream of changing the lives of people who doesn’t expect it, a reality.

Sports stars such as South African cricketer Dean Elgar, Victor Matfield, Derick Hougaard and Sunette Viljoen also attended the prestigious event.
