School hosts annual Christmas market

Everything is running smoothly at the Transoranje School for the deaf Christmas Market.

Support towards the annual Transoranje School for the Deaf’s Christmas market has grown over the years.

The market that opened on 20 November will be operating until 29 November at the Tshwane Events Centre in Pretoria West in Hall L.

The market is one of the largest in Gauteng and generates money for the school.

The Christmas market is also a way for family and friends to spend time together and get nice items at reasonable prices just before Christmas.

Alta Koekemoer, the school’s business development manager said there were more than 300 exhibitors from all over the country with a wide range of items for all ages at the market.

“There is also a variety of delicious foods and some thirst quenchers so you can sit and relax and also enjoy the artists that perform while doing your Christmas shopping,” she said.

Entrance to the market is free, and gates are open from 09:00 until 19:00 Mondays to Saturdays and on Sundays from 09:00 to 15:00.

Special activities on Saturday, are the breakfast at only R25 per person including coffee between 09:00 and 11:00 and Saturday 28 November is kids’ fun day with special guests such as Tjiff & Tjaff, fun characters and other exciting activities.
