Spring Carnival not hindered by rain

The rain could not stop pupils of Irene Primary School to celebrate spring.

The rain could not stop pupils and parents of Irene Primary School to celebrate the annual Spring Carnival on Saturday.

The event was hosted on school premises.

Speaking to Portia Moshoene, a member of the school’s Parents Teacher Association and project manager of the Spring Carnival, she said everyone enjoyed themselves except they could not have fun on the amusement rides due to the rain.

Other activities at the school were live music entertainment, a flea market, fashion show, clown show and raffles, to name but a few.

She said the pupils will have a go on the amusement rides on Monday.
