The first 10 men and women, as well as the winners of each category, each received a gold metal, while the next 100 contestants received silver medals.

Prizes for the different categories ranged from R50 – R750.

A total of 3 000 bronze medals were given to all runners who completed the 5 km race.

There were also spot prizes, which included SPAR grocery hampers.

The next event is the Clover Irene Spring Run of 21 km on 19 September, followed by the Liquifruit Irene 21 km on 7 November.

Triple Challenge entrants who complete all three races this year will again receive a T-shirt and a special shield to fit all three medals.
