Cars in the Park celebrates 36th year

Cars in the Park celebrated the show's 36th year as Africa's biggest vintage and classic vehicle show.

Zwartkops Raceway celebrated their 36th annual Cars in the Park show on Sunday, focussing on cars and motorcycles built before 1940.

With over 100 clubs displaying over 3 000 cars at this year’s show, Cars in the Park remains Africa’s biggest vintage and classic vehicle show.

The show also had an area dedicated to commercial exhibitors displaying motor related products.

Ruan de Villiers, who has been at the show several times in the past, said that he was amazed at the turnout the show attracted.

His two friends, Shaun and Craig Edmond, who attended the show for the first time this year was surprised with the size of the show.

“There are so many cars and exhibitors here. I had no idea that this show was so big. I will definitely be returning next year,” Shaun said.

Another guest, Nico Triggiani, also attended the show for the first time this year.

“It is simply terrific to see so many stunning cars here and the atmosphere at the show is wonderful,” he said.
