Craft beer a favourite

The annual Capital Craft Beer Festival, that was held at the Voortrekker Monument, was once again a raging success.

The Voortrekker Monument in Pretoria was abuzz on Saturday with hundreds of people from all walks of life attending the Capital Craft Beer Festival.This was the second annual festival hosted by the Capital Craft Beer in conjunction with the South African Brewery with the main purpose of bringing old tradition and new experiences together.
It has been indicated that micro breweries have become tasty and trendy alternatives to commercially brewed beers.Speaking to one of the organizers Niel Groenewald, he said the event was about showcasing different types of beer to the public and to give the attendees a well executed and unforgettable experience.

The well attended event was also filled with a lineup of entertainment including musical acts.

One of the attendees Wilma van Vuuren said crafters made thorough efforts to brew and mature the beers.

She said she tasted and enjoyed most of the flavours that were being showcased at the festival.
