Classic MG cars displayed at the shopping centre

Members of the MG Car Club Northern Centre shared their passion for cars at the MG vintage and classic cars show at Brooklyn Mall on Saturday and Sunday.

Members of the MG Car Club Northern Centre showcased their vintage and classic cars at the Brooklyn Mall over the weekend to share their passion with the community.

“It is nice to have this opportunity to display our cars, interact with people and generate enthusiasm for the mark [MG badge] and what we stand for,” club chairperson Stephen Grocery said at the show, which took place on Saturday and Sunday.

The proud owner of MG J2 1933, which was the oldest car on show, said the club stood for the preservation and enjoyment of classic cars – specifically MG.

“MG cars are unique because they brought sports cars to the masses and in the way that hadn’t been done before MG came into the scene.”

More than 20 cars on display illustrated the revolution of the MG sports cars from pre-world war II to contemporary.

Owners answered questions from admirers, and shared their excitement for the cars.
