A day for music

Talented youngsters perform at the Brooklyn Theater.

Saturday was a day for the children as Brooklyn Theatre had a grand opening for Musicula, a music academy for kids from 6 months to 6 years under the tutelage of Magdaleen Lamey.

The event, which began Saturday morning at around 11:30, was put together to showcase the amount of talent the young children had in playing complex instruments.

Musicula academy brought its youngest stars to play instruments such as the cello, Piano and the flute. Passionate gifted young children were not fazed by the amount of people inside the theatre watching them but instead, they would smile, joke and laugh at the amount of attention they were receiving.

The academy under Lameys tutelage strived to teaching young children the importance of music.

Children aged 6 months to 6 years were taught an instrument of their choice and this insureds they excelled in their chosen instruments.

Some proud parents could not hold back their tears as they saw their young ones perform before a large audience on the Brooklyn Theatre stage.

An internationally renowned company Polliacs Music was also amongst the attendees, showcasing their imported musical equipment.

Co-director Elana Neetling emphasized that they had been invited to ensure young children were exposed to good quality musical instruments.
