Race of Faith held in Willow Acres

Silver Oaks Crossing Centre held a Race of Faith Scenic Route recently.

A refreshing run on a chilly winter’s morning took place at the Silver Oaks Crossing Centre in Willow Acres on Saturday.

The Race of Faith Scenic Route was held in association of Run/Walk for Life, Athletics Gauteng North, Silver Lakes Estate and Willow Acres Estate, while the proceeds of the day went to the Kungwini Welfare Organisation and Paul Jungnickel Home for the Disabled.

Runners from across Pretoria joined in this 15km early morning run through the scenic Silver Lakes Estate and Willow Acres Estate that included a stretch of rough gravel road.

The race also welcomed wheelchairs and prams on a 5.5km route.

The official race started at 07:00, while two special races for children, one for three to six-year-olds and one for seven to 10-year-olds, started at 09:30.
