Police need help finding missing Mamelodi man

The complainant alleged that on Saturday, August 18, he received a call from one of his cousins indicating that the victim, Joseph Bhonga, was missing.

Mamelodi police require assistance in locating a missing man.

Joseph Bhonga (41) from Phase 4 in Mamelodi went missing on August 3.

Police spokesperson, Constable Penelope Khulong, said Bhonga was reported missing by his friend, Lazarus Mafuma.

She said Mafuma alleged that on Saturday, August 18, he received a call from one of his cousins indicating that Bhonga was missing.

Bhonga was last seen on August 3 by one of his friends, who had left the victim with his belongings.

“The friend indicated that when he later went back for his belongings, Joseph was nowhere to be found and has been missing ever since,” said Khulong.

Khulong said it is not known what Bhonga was wearing on the day of his disappearance.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is requested to call Mamelodi East SAPS on 012 815 7079 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.

Alternatively, members of the public can send information via the MySAPS App.
