New phone number to reach Central police station

The measure of adding an extra number has been taken after technical issues with the station's previous telephone number.

Pretoria Central police station is urging residents to use a new number to reach it after complaints of its previous number being inaccessible.

Residents are requested to use the newly established cell number 079 880 0880 for lodging complaints, inquiries or any incidents within the police precinct.

Spokesperson Constable Thabange Nkhumise said the station was experiencing technical issues with its phones, however measures were being taken to ensure residents maintain communication with the local police force.

“We are working around the clock to ensure the matter has been dealt with on time to ensure service delivery is not compromised. All the numbers are still operational but the station will announce or sensitise the community once the matter has been dealt with and phones have been fixed,” Nkhumise said.

The station apologises for the inconvenience caused by the faulty line.
